Kevin Adama Informal Writing #2

Kevin Adama

My main goal in the class, is to learn how to write a story that keeps the reader actually interested in the story. I'm going to search the web and see how writers create suspense, comic relief and vivid images because I believe that's what we all like.

Building Characters in the story, seeing how they change from when we are first introduced to them and how we view them at the end is an essential part in writing for me. Will just try practice doing that, maybe learn how to plan ahead in the story.

I have a limited amount of Vocabulary, so will pick up 5 words in the dictionary and will try use them where necessary that day. Please don't get upset when I fail to use them in English class, or think I'm trying to show off. Grammar too is important, and I believe reading the English textbook to understand the rules is all I need, then practice it of course.

Picking up the creative side of just having a good plot for a story, so when we do informal writing in class, I hope to build that creative side. Sometimes I feel I have good ideas for a story but can't put it down in writing so that other people can see what I'm actually thinking about, this skill just comes with practice.

Trying my hardest with every work that is giving to me to write, that is will put more effort in work giving to us because I usually didn't care about English work. Plan work before hand, so that I don't hit the 'wall' in the middle of my story, so will jot some notes before hand to see where my story will head to.

Being able to acquire some help from internet sources but cite them well. Using complex sentences in my writing, this would give a bit of flavor to the story and makes it more interesting. Will search tips on how to write complex sentences and then practice on what I've learnt.
