Kevin Adama
My main goal in the class, is to learn how to write a story that keeps the reader actually interested in the story. I'm going to search the web and see how writers create suspense, comic relief and vivid images because I believe that's what we all like.
Building Characters in the story, seeing how they change from when we are first introduced to them and how we view them at the end is an essential part in writing for me. Will just try practice doing that, maybe learn how to plan ahead in the story.
I have a limited amount of Vocabulary, so will pick up 5 words in the dictionary and will try use them where necessary that day. Please don't get upset when I fail to use them in English class, or think I'm trying to show off. Grammar too is important, and I believe reading the English textbook to understand the rules is all I need, then practice it of course.
Picking up the creative side of just having a good plot for a story, so when we do informal writing in class, I hope to build that creative side. Sometimes I feel I have good ideas for a story but can't put it down in writing so that other people can see what I'm actually thinking about, this skill just comes with practice.
Trying my hardest with every work that is giving to me to write, that is will put more effort in work giving to us because I usually didn't care about English work. Plan work before hand, so that I don't hit the 'wall' in the middle of my story, so will jot some notes before hand to see where my story will head to.
Being able to acquire some help from internet sources but cite them well. Using complex sentences in my writing, this would give a bit of flavor to the story and makes it more interesting. Will search tips on how to write complex sentences and then practice on what I've learnt.

10 goals/rules for writing
1. I will be creative and use imagery in my writing so that my writing will be like a waterfall, spewing out knowledge and awesomeness.
2. I will develop my ideas fully in my writing. I have trouble with making sure that my ideas are fully developed so this is something I need to work on.
3. I will work on using a variety of different sentences. This could prove to be difficult, but I am up for the challenge. I’ll get it.
4. I will work on writing and speaking grammatically correct. This may be the hardest part. I have a tendency to write like I talk, which in itself isn’t a bad thing, but I do have a few vernacular terms that I use.
5. I will have jokes in my writing, however elaborate or simple.
6. I will improve my vocabulary, so that I can understand teachers when they use big words. My archive of foreign words lacks any kind of depth. I need assistance in improving my verbiage.
7. I will write with conviction! We all may die out there, but the world needs more writers. So I ask you all, will you just run away and let them take what we hold dear? They may take our lives, but they will never take our FREEDOM!!! (William Wallace).
8. I will not write sarcastically and I will not enjoy doing it.
9. I will fully explain what I mean and not just assume readers know what I am talking about. I have the tendency to assume that readers think the way I do, and therefore know the same things as I do, which isn’t the case most of the time. I often write in a certain way that I would understand, but someone who isn’t familiar with the terminology or with the topic would not understand.
10. I will have fun with my writing. I will write about something that I want to (within certain parameters if needed) and I will be unique, ridiculous and clever, so that hopefully whoever is unfortunate enough to come across my work, will at least smile while they are reading.

Informal Writing #2, Jeremy Ilang-Ilang
He are my 10 rules as revise everything a writer:
1. Do not be afraid to express what you really want to say; the teacher would want to hear how you really feel about something.
2. 2. Be creative; try to gain as many thoughts and ideas so that you can continuously write.
3. Always revise after every sentence you write so that it would become more understandable and correct
4. Try to use vocabulary words instead of the simple, more informal words that you would regularly use
5. Find an environment that makes you more comfortable for you to write to avoid distractions/things that keep you unable to write
6. Get advice/help from peers who are excelled in English or get help from teachers
7. Always make a rough draft before your final product; first drafts usually contain a few or many errors and would not seem as legitimate as the final draft.
8. For the Pre-Writing process, try making a brainstorming list of ideas to give you a sense of what to write.
9. After writing an essay, always read it aloud to assure grammar quality and correctness of the essay.
10. Always give yourself plenty of time to write a paper; last minute papers would not seem as well-polished as a timely-effort paper.
Overall, the major part I'll play on improving these deficits I struggle through as a writer is being a comfortable, deliberate writer and always being prepared for the best and worst.
Kimi Howell, Informal Writing #2
10 Goals for Writing:
1.
Go to the writing center frequently. Don’t be
afraid to ask for help when writing an assignment; every writer sometime needs
help.
2.
Use semi-colons when needed. This will help the
flow but also it will improve the run-on sentence that I may write.
3.
Extend my vocabulary, not only in my writing but
also in books. If a word is used to commonly, I will look at a dictionary and
find any word. When I am reading and I don’t know what a word means I will look
it up in a dictionary.
4.
Don’t procrastinate and write an assignment the
night before it is due. This is a problem I need to overcome in all subjects.
To improve on my procrastination, I will start the assignment the day it is
given by brainstorming.
5.
Always stay true to myself. I will not turn in
something that I am not comfortable with or I do not love; I will turn in
something that I am proud of.
6.
Think out-of-the-box in every assignment. I will
be creative in every assignment given and I will look at an assignment in more
than one perspective.
7.
Brainstorm before writing. In the past I wouldn’t
brainstorm making my writing harder. After I brainstorm I will then make an
outline of the assignment, outlining all the topics I will cover in the
assignment.
8.
If I have writer’s block I will take a break and
do something for a while. Sometimes all I need is a break to get the juices
flowing.
9.
After I have finish writing it or sent it to a friend,
parent or pass teacher to edit it. Sometimes I might not catch all of the
mistakes, and having someone else edit my work with benefit me in the long run.
10.
Improve on grammar. I will practice my grammar
in every assignment making sure it is correct. If I need help with my grammar I
will go to the writing center.
