Tara Nahodil Informal Writing #1

She stands behind a curtain, and she shows no sign of emotion. She hides all her talent, and she displays no expression. She has a slim shaped silhouette, and her hands cross her chest. She shows no sign of fear, and yet she still appears timid. She stares in to the distance, and she thinks about the future. She has many dreams, and she has yet to conquer one.  She appears calm and collected, but under the surface she has rough edges.

She has many issues, and her being a single parent is one of them. She exhibits great strength, while she stays strong for her children. She shows desperation and willingness to survive, however she still holds three jobs on the side. Her courage and character is loved by others, although when it comes to that time of night her true colors truly shine. Her ambitions and goals are supporting her children, and her being able to provide food on the table every night. She works late night shifts every evening, but she is still able to kiss her kids goodnight. She is a caring single mother, and she still does all she can to protect them from the truth. She gets about 50 dollars an hour, and she earns about 300 dollars a night. She loves her children, and that’s why she does this. She saves everything she gets, yet she still seems to struggle. She can only just afford to put a roof over her head, and yet she still provides to the ones she loves. She is yet to reveal her occupation, and she still holds on to her secrets. She will tell you when she’s ready, and who knows when that day will be. She gets money shoved down her top and underwear, and she still has this hidden identity. She may be an escort, but right now that is her only choice. She learned to live, and now she does. She lives behind this curtain, her wall which keeps her contained. She is who she is, and that’s how she will remain.
