The two articles I picked to compare are, “There’s no College Tuition ‘Bubble’: College Education is Underpriced” by Jeffrey Dorfman, and “I’m not Saving up for my Son’s College Tuition – Here’s Why” by Carol Cain. To me both articles are pretty good arguments, both different arguments but both on the same topic.
In the article “There’s no College Tuition ‘Bubble’: College Education is Underpriced” by Jeffrey Dorfman, he appeals to a sense of logic. He says that just like everything in life the college expense is just reality. He talks about how some colleges are extremely expensive, but on the other hand some are actually cheap and in some cases even underpriced. In Carol Cain's article “I’m not Saving up for my Son’s College Tuition – Here’s Why”, just like in the title talks about not saving for her sons college tuition and gives several reasons why feels like she doesn't have to. She talks about how she never had support from her family through college and had to pay for it on her own. Therefore her son will have to do the same thing. Which I don't really agree with, if I had to struggle like she did while in college, the last thing I would want is for my kids to go through the same thing. I will always want better for them. So in a way for me this argument turns me against it.
Even though I don't agree with Carol Cain, I still think she has a good argument and will probably have many people on her side after reading her article. And after reading, “There’s no College Tuition ‘Bubble’: College Education is Underpriced” by Jeffrey Dorfman, I tended to agree with him more and more as I read. Even though some colleges can be very expensive, its all relevant. If you want to spend a ton of money on college, it will probably be worth. I look at it as an investment, the more you put into college the more I think you will get out in the long run. But at the same time if you don't want to put a ton into it you don't have to, there are ways of getting through college without paying a whole lot of money.
